Zuma’s Ally Blames Thabo Mbeki For Eskom’s Woes
Mzwanele Manyi, the former president Jacob Zuma’s spokesperson, has joined a long list of people who are accusing ANC leadership for being at the epicenter of the destruction of Eskom.
Manyi argues that it is ANC’s misdirection which saw Eskom being unbundled into three separate companies and that has been the source of the power utility’s problems.
Eskom has been bailed out several times by the state after accruing a huge debt.
“Following the policy misdirection by the ANC, Eskom was unbundled into three separate companies in a project led by DPE.
Eskom was then forced to purchase electricity from IPP’s at cost prices higher than the selling price. Today Eskom is facing R20 billion debt and the ANC is surprised,” said Manyi.
The former ANC member blames former president Thabo Mbeki, and ANC veteran, Joel Netshitenzhe for their insistence that Eskom was not to be isolated from White Monopoly Capital.
He said the problems at Eskom today can be traced back to the policy misdirection by ANC under Thabo Mbeki’s administration.
“Problems of Eskom can be traced to policy misdirection by the ANC. The ANC bundled all monopolies into one bag and in the process destroyed desirable State Monopolies.
The insistence by Netshitenze and President Thabo Mbeki not to isolate WMC as the problem child led to ideological confusion,” said Manyi.

ANC veteran, and former Umkhonto Wesizwe Military Veterans Association spokesperson, Carl Niehaus applauded for Mzwanele Manyi’s analysis and said it is spot on.
Carl Niehaus argues that comrades like Joel Netshitenzhe are deep into the pockets of White Monopoly Capital.
“Thank you comrade Mzwanele Manyi. Your comment is spot on! Yes, indeed, Joel Netshitenze is totally overrated.
He killed his own alter ego #PeterMayibuye long ago, and what is left is a pathetic White Monopoly Capital praise singer, who is deep in their pockets. Sad but true,” he said.
